Job Description:

Child Welfare Worker - Floater (6 positions available + 1 Bilingual Essential position)

Under the mandate of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, this full-time position will provide assistance in filling short term vacancies in the various child welfare departments. The work assigned will be based on the identified service needs in the functional areas of Investigation and Assessment, Child Protection, Child Care, Adoption and Foster Care.

Essential qualifications for the above positions are as follows:

- Master of Social Work or Bachelor of Social Work
- B.A. in Psychology, Sociology or other Social Service qualifications
- Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and access or ownership to a vehicle is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
- Current or recent Child Protection Worker Authorization is an asset
