Job Description:
HOURS: DAYS, EVENINGS, NIGHTS, AND WEEKENDS
SALARY: $ 25.553 (Min.) - $26.534 (Max.)
Pay rate, benefits and other terms and conditions are as per the CUPE (Local 139) Collective Agreement
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Successful completion of a Diploma in Developmental Services Worker/Behaviour Science Technician or equivalent required
Demonstrated clinical experience working within a Dual Diagnosis, Mental Health or Developmental Disabilities required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, and/or autism required
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team required
Autism Intervener Certificate is an asset
Available to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights)
Excellent demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written required
Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills required
Basic computer knowledge required
BCLS required
Willingness and ability to travel required
Valid Class “G” Driver’s license required
Ministry of Transportation driver’s abstract required
Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
Good attendance and work record required
Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
