Job Description:

Qualifications and Technical Competencies

  • Successful completion of a Diploma in Developmental Services Worker/Behaviour Science Technician or equivalent required
  • Autism Intervenor Certificate is an asset
  • BCLS required
  • Demonstrated clinical experience working within a Dual Diagnosis, Mental Health or Developmental Disabilities required
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, and/or autism required
  • Available to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights)
  • Excellent demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written required
  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team required
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Willingness and ability to travel required
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s license required
  • Ministry of Transportation driver’s abstract required
  • Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
  • Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
  • Good attendance and work record required
  • Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required (see note*) All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if there are no successful bilingual candidates

*NOTE: A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check: recent, within three (3)

months is a requirement
