Job Function Overview

As a Hydraulics Technician, you will be responsible for installing PTOs, hydraulics pumps and plumbing hydraulic lines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Installation of PTO Hydraulic Pumps on Dump Trucks
  • Plumbing hydraulic lines
  • Adjust pump and meter components to regulate speeds, pressures and temperatures as well as amounts and the flow of product
  • Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs
  • Handle Materials – within the shop and outdoors as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work effectively and efficiently to complete your work within the job standard
  • Keep work place organized
  • Perform other duties, as required

  • Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Perform work safely and follow established work procedures
  • Willing to learn, flexible & reliable
  • Physical effort and dexterity is required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience with the use of powered hand tools. (Preferred)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the fitting/welder discipline. (Preferred)
  • Experience in wrenches and ratchet sets
  • Experience using electrical power tools or manual tools (drills, squares, measuring tape etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits: Yes (after successfully completing a 90 day probationary period)

Hours of work: 7:00am to 5:00pm with potential for overtime

Equipment required: Steel toed boots with metatarsal guard

Salary: Dependent on experience
