PSW - (Independent Living Assistant) - Outreach or Supportive Housing

Established in 1975, PHARA is a local, volunteer governed, non-profit charitable organization providing services to individuals in the communities of North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, Verner, Cache Bay, Mattawa, Thessalon, Thessalon First Nation, Iron Bridge, and Bruce Mines. PHARA’s 100 employees and 20 volunteers provide Attendant Care Supportive Housing, Attendant Outreach, Post Stroke Rehabilitation, and Transition to Home, Congregate Care, Meals on Wheels and a Medical Equipment Loan-Out Program. PHARA and its’ partnering non-profit charitable organization The Physically Handicapped Adults’ Rehabilitation Association Westwinds Heights operate 3 non-profit housing complexes providing 143 rental units for families in North Bay.

The successful candidate requires their Personal Support Worker Certificate and experience in providing personal care and daily activities of daily living. (Interested, but not a PSW? Look for our Respite Worker or Homemaker ads)

For those interested in an Outreach position a valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is required. The driver's licence and access to a vehicle are not required for Supportive Housing.

For Outreach, we pay Travel Time and Mileage.
