Program Facilitator - Early Education

Job Description:


  • Teach classes and follow Blossom Early Learning’s philosophy
  • Maintain a high-quality learning environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
  • Provide developmentally appropriate experiences
  • Refer families to community partners as needed
  • Prepare supplies for classes
  • Set-up and clean up after classes
  • Maintain that supplies be in good condition
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
  • Open and close the facility as needed
  • Disinfect toys and equipment
  • Take attendance
  • Register families and accept payments for classes


  • A passion for working with children and young families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player and contribute accordingly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Experience in planning and implementing programs for children
  • Understanding of child development and the domains of development
  • Strong oral and written skills in English
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to use blue tooth devices and a sound system
  • The physical ability to participate with children indoors/outdoors and on the floor
  • Highly motivated to learn
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Be available to work some evenings, some weekends and some weekdays\

Once hired, you will need:

  • Current Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector screening
  • Current Standard First Aid and Infant-Child CPR certification

Preferred assets but not required:

  • Early Childhood Educator, Early Childhood Assistant Certification, Child Development Practitioner, Recreation and Leisure, Child and Youth Care_ or _currently be a student in one of these programs
  • Oral and written skills in French
  • An understanding of newborns
  • An understanding of the postpartum mom
  • Knowledge of the ELECT document
  • Skilled in the use Facebook pages, Canva, Mailchimp, Square, Quickbooks or Power Point.
