Job Description:


We have an opening for a Receptionist (6 months) to join our Personal Insurance team working at our branch office on Cassells Street in North Bay, ON.

Position Summary:

To provide front-line customer service of Personal Lines policies and taking responsibility for the retention and account development of existing clients, quoting and placing new business as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the needs of customers are being met through superior customer service
  • Answer customer billing related inquiries and directing client inquiries
  • Control the flow of walk in customers and callers
  • Monitor and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and couriers
  • Process customer payments, bank deposits, petty cash management and account coding
  • Data entry, scan and review incoming paperwork
  • May include back-up duties for other administrative duties and assisting Insurance Advisors

Skills and Experience:

  • High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • 2 to 5 years office experience
  • RIBO License or willing to obtain
  • Exposure to EPIC is an asset
  • Excellent typing and computer skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Priority will be given to the candidate with previous experience working in a brokerage or insurance industry
