Leads, directs and manages Veterans Service Team operations, which may be located in a multi-site designated geographic area, through the sound management of resources; and supports/ensures the well-being and security of staff.
Fosters a collaborative working environment conducive to optimum performance and the achievement of objectives and service standards; defines goals and establishes performance expectations; leads team meetings; and communicates and supports the impact of changes in legislation, policy and procedures and related information to team members.
Exercises quality control, performs quality assurance activities and develops quality improvement plans on the work performed by subordinate staff in support of the national quality compliance and quality assurance program as lead by Head Office.
Monitors and evaluates local trends in service delivery to ensure the operational, performance and service standards are met; and contributes to departmental reporting requirements.
Makes recommendations to management teams and senior managers on matters related to client service delivery and VAC’s programs/benefits; leads and participates on internal and external local, regional and national committees, working groups, projects and initiatives; and participates in the development, evaluation and implementation of national programs and services.

Veterans Service Team Managers are assigned to a primary work location but may be required to work at various locations and travel between these locations.
